Detached Garage Sewer Connections
If you have or are planning on building a detached garage on an adjoining property to your existing home (deeded together) and wish to have plumbing in this building (utility sink, 1/2 bath, full bath, etc.); you have a couple of options when it comes to your garage's sewer lateral. If the landscape and topography allow, you could simply tie into your home's existing lateral on the private side, before it enters the utility easement. If this is not a feasible option, you can make a new connection into your garage lot’s provided lateral in the utility easement. If you tie into this new connection point, you will have to fill out the same permit that’s required for a new home, as well as pay the one-time current connection fee. However, as a garage on a lot deeded to your main home, there will not be an additional monthly fee moving forward. Please contact Clear Creek to discuss your options.
